And a matter of fact this is a knitting blog
Remember when I posted about the knitting machine? Didn't you expect to see something the very next day? I did. But there are ends to weave in, seams to sew and design flaws to remedy. I was attempting the austere, stick-to-rectangles path, but the sleeves looked a tad too severe (read ridiculous proportions), so there was sacrificial ripping in favor of the pleasing trapezoidal sleeves. So without further delay, here is the Delia Sweater, mostly made up of the wonderful Cascade Pima Tencel.

Knit on the trusty Studio knitting machine. Hand finished with a picot neck and a keyhole back as an accommodation for those big baby heads.

This is so pretty! I love the colors you used, and that picture makes me smile. I once owned a "vintage" sweater machine that was so busted up, it took twice as long as knitting by hand. I'm glad to see yours turned out so well.

Wow, that turned out completely lovely! As great as hand knitting is, it must be really satisfying to be able to turn out something so quickly on a machine!

that is stupendous!! wonderful!! I want one. Please tell me you're joking and you didn't do that in one day or two days even... please tell me you've been working on it at least a week?
Otherwise I cry.
Any trick to speed up my knitting?

So cute! So how long did it take? Is it a pain to switch colors? Much rethreading involved?

So they really do work! I could get on board with this approach to knitting. Awesome color combination. And you finished it beautifully - particularly with that great button.

big baby heads run in your family too? this sweater reminds me of one i wore for "picture day" when i was seven. the backdrop was grey and the instructions were to "wear something colorful" so i chose the most colorful piece of clothing i owned. well done.
