Plenty

That's right. If I'm on the scarce side it's because I am wondering when will it be summer vacation already? Counting down the days to a simpler life. To placate, our bumper harvest of Ranier cherries. A banner year for our tree, which is at least twenty five-years old. The wonders of urban gardening.

I can't even imagine having a Ranier Cherry tree in the yard. You could make a small fortune on those in the Midwest. Typically the sell for around $5 a bag here. Small bag mind you. I hope your swap goodies arrived. If not, they should be there soon. Enjoy those few days before summer vacation, it will be here before you know it.

Yes, the week or so just before summer vacation sometimes seems longer than the coldest days of February. I also find myself wondering what all of that free time will be like and how I have ever managed to stay sane with it during past summers. Then it's the first day and I remember.

Envious.
Envious of the beautiful tree.
Envious of the beautiful cherries.
Envious of the beautiful light in the photograph.
Grrrrr.

Great to meet you last night. I love your side banner. (Is that what you would call it?)
Great photo of cherries in little hands. I'm linking to your blog.
We'd love to have you up for dinner sometime. I guess that was an email thing. Oh well, it's public and it's okay. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

I did not know that urban gardening could be so bountiful! You put my weak little basil plant to shame. We're counting the days here, too.

Gorgeous cherries, and the funny thing is, I just a) washed out an empty jar of cherry jam and was sad that it was empty, and then b) found myself discussing the merits of various types of cherries and the paucity of proper sour pie cherries on the east coast. Both things today.
