While we're on the subject of time

Philip wedding

Here's my favorite photo of Philip. And why is he wearing a garland of roses on his head? He stole them from me, one Friday afternoon, eight years ago.

Lina:

Has it really been 8 years? I remember that day.... you were so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes. (And no, I'm not just trying to be corny.)

With all that's been happening with "our kids", it's easy to get sentimental about the good old days. Something about the passage of time makes us forget the tears, heartache, pulling of hair, yelling at kids, sleepless nights studying, loneliness, and fear of failure. But a picture captured just so makes us remember the discovery of unconditional love for a child, the blooming of lifelong friendships, and the foundation of the strength, knowledge and love of self that has made us into the women we are today.

Here's hoping that in another 8 years we'll cherish memories from today with the same clarity and joy.

oh, my gosh...y'all are just scrumptious!

Such sweet photos.

Those are some of the sweetest photos I've ever seen! Happy anniversary. All y'all are gorgeous!

Aw! What a beautiful picture of the two of you! (and of Philip!)

Awwwwww..... sweet.

Oh, no! I can't view the photos. But I'm thinking that this might be an anniversary post, no? If so, Happy Anniversary. If not, I'm seriously confused and will check back later for the images.

risa:

is it an anniversary post? happy anniversary! you look so happy...i hope he still makes you smile like that. and philip? totally precious!

happy anniversary!!!! those photos are so beautiful and full of joy.

Came back, saw the happy photos, and am wondering if I didn't start something totally off track with my comment. The comments that follow mine are almost like a game of telephone - sorry if I was off base!
