Ever the joiner or I Pledge Allegiance, To Handmade
I went ahead and did it, I took the Buy Handmade pledge. Actually, I think I might have taken it three or four times accidentally. I have a long history of making gifts. There were the Truffle Years, when chocolate and cocoa powder would cover the kitchen, then the Year of Making Candles, when wax got everywhere. The two years after I started knitting, when it was Scarves! Hats for All! The Biennial Biscotti, and last year's Lemon Lavender Shortbread.
It all started innocently enough, a case of economic constraint breeding creativity. And then it just continued through the years. To do my part as a booster of all things homemade and handmade, I will (at least attempt to) share recipes and how-to's over the coming weeks. Here is a list of what you can look forward to, some are pretty basic, others tantalizingly vague:
Lino-cut Cards
Chocolate Truffles
Beeswax Candles
My Favorite Hat
Basic Ribbed Scarf
Tiny Stockings
Basic Biscotti
Shortbread
Stella's Fairy Skirt
Aluminum Ornaments
Mr. Knitsonya's Pomegranate Liqueur
