Trip to the museum or Seven-Year Olds Love Conceptual Art

I went on a field trip yesterday to the SFMoMA with Beatrice's second grade class. I have to admit I was a little skeptical, but they were champs. We broke up into small groups and had great fun at the Olafur Eliasson exhibit. If you are local - GO. If not, keep an eye out for his work, he is incredible. All of the work was site specific, here is his One-way colour tunnel, on the turret bridge high above the lobby

I'm never sure about the photography policy, usually it's just no flash, but this is stealth digital photography with the camera at stroller-handle height.

And no, I haven't forgotten about the handmade stuff. These colors will segue very nicely.

your photos tell the story that this IS INDEED a very special exhibit...isn't it great the kids can get this kind of exposure?

so beautiful- I wish I could experience it in the flesh.

What an awesome field trip.
Does she have a cool teacher, or did this happen by accident?

WAhhhh, I am a seven year old.. My computer won't let me see your photos!!! But I am sure it was a blast!!!! xo

Oh my gosh. That is so beautiful. Thank you for that stealth shot. (It kinda reminds me of your amazing knitting, strangely enough!)

Happy Holidays, sweetheart. And I swear I will be mailing that quilt soon, small as it may be.
