Beautiful Film Week - Day 3

The Mission , here is a movie from my early days. I saw it in the 80s and it made an indelible impression on me - from the cinematography to the haunting score by Ennio Morricone. That and a thing for Jeremy Irons.

This is one of my favourite films too. I saw it when I was a teenager and it really made a huge impression on me too. I think I was still quite idealistic at the time and found it really hard to accept that 'respectable', educated people could act in such a barbaric way. The sad thing is that 20-odd years later I see atrocities like this on the news now and then and it doesn't affect me in the same way.
